Facial Sculpting Preparations, Procedures and Post-Op Care
Everyone wants to feel attractive and look beautiful. To achieve this, many strive to have perfect facial features with the best proportions of balance, symmetry, clarity, and harmony. Facial Contouring is a cosmetic surgery designed to help patients can improve the stability of their facial features by adjusting the different areas of the face. These areas include the forehead, cheekbones, nose, chin, and jaw. In addition to physical and structural facial adjustments, patients may also utilize surgical techniques to enhance their eyes and lips with youthful radiance. For face surgeries, surgeons closely study facial proportions. Each face is divided equally by vertical lines that divide the face into five different parts from left to right. Horizontal lines then divide the face into three main areas:
Upper Face – The upper part of the face begins at the top of the hairline to the eyebrows. The proportion is about 1/3 of the face.
Middle Face – The middle part of the face starts from the eyebrows to the tip of the nose. The ratio is also approximately 1/3 of the face.
Lower Face – The lower part of the face starts from the nose tip to the chin, making up the remaining 1/3 portion of the face.

Some facial plastic surgeons use fat grafting, or the placement of fat in specific areas of the patient's face, to help enhance appearance and balance. Fat grafting offers an alternative for patients who do not want to spend money on temporary facial fillers.
This method sculpts a patient's face using their own fat cells. it is often combined with other contouring procedures, such as chin implants, fat pad removal, and liposuction.
What is laser resurfacing?
Laser resurfacing is a type of plastic surgery wherein doctors use a laser to remove skin layer by layer with precision. The new skin cells that form afterward give the skin a tighter, younger appearance. This enhances the overall beauty of the patient.
